Hello…

My name is Siddharth Salgaonkar (Sid for short). I was born in Belgaum - a small border town in Southwest India - to an artist and a theatre actress. I grew up with a love for cinema and decided at an early age that I want to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

As a South Asian writer, my aim is to have brown characters at the forefront of what I write and tell their own unique stories, instead of being just peripheral props born out of uninformed stereotypes. I have always loved to make people laugh. But having witnessed a lot of communal conflicts and social issues in my hometown, I have developed a special interest in dark comedy and satire. I like to write content that delicately walks the line between humor and pathos.

With the lessons I’ve learned and the people I’ve met from my two stints in college and my previous workplaces, I’m excited to further my career and experience new things.
